Nick Dal Santo has a simple theory about how Collingwood midfielder Adam Treloar can improve his game.
Treloar is averaging a disposal efficiency of 70 per cent and has been criticised for his ball use over his career.
Dal Santo says his ability to accumulate the footy is fantastic, but he needs to be cleaner at times with the ball in hand.
“My only defence of Adam Treloar is this hasn’t changed for his whole career,” the former St Kilda star told SEN Breakfast.
“He gets a hell of a lot of football, he’s a good player, the way that he can find it and win it but this is an ongoing conversation that’s been there for years.
“Unfortunately his disposal isn’t where it needs to be. It can be improved.
“My initial thought with Adam Treloar is swim between the flags, give it to someone in a better position by hand or by foot.
“You don’t have to kick the Hollywood kick every time.”
Treloar and the Pies will be aiming to bounce back from two straight losses when they travel over to Optus Stadium to face the West Coast Eagles on Friday night.
