"I think you're a liar": Everitt and Thomas engage in fiery radio interview

After his fiery comments on both his podcast and on SEN Breakfast, Grant Thomas went on radio with one of the players he coached during the time in which he said drug use was “rife” at St Kilda – Peter Everitt.

It was tense radio, with Everitt labelling Thomas “a liar”.

Everitt: I take offence to something like this and I think the majority of the players do,” he said on 92.5 Gold FM in Queensland.

Everitt: You’re questioning a lot of the dignity of players you supported, you grew up with and you put your heart and soul into them and now you’re questioning their dignity into the game and I think you’re a liar.

Thomas: It’s not my opinion, I was conveying what was told to me by a player straight after I was terminated. Since then I’ve spoken on many occasions to many of the guys I’ve coached and they’ve confirmed it.

Everitt: Is that 100 per cent correct? We know that being in the media you have to do your research and make sure everything you say is 100 per cent correct.”

From there, the two argued back and forth. You can hear the full discussion below, thanks to 92.5 Gold FM.
