While acknowledging it isn’t a bad thing, Wallace has explained the trend that has emerged from Arden Street over the past decade.

“This is not getting a stick and whacking them, I’m saying almost the opposite,” he told SEN’s KB and The Doc.
“Their honesty as a club has got them in a vortex and it’s a vortex that basically has them, in the last 10 years, somewhere between sixth and 10th.
“You don’t win the premiership, you don’t ever get a high draft pick, but you’re honest as the days long and you give the best of yourself all the time.
“It is (a good thing) but they’re sort of not getting closer or they’re not getting further away.
“This is them over the last 10 years. 2008 seventh, one down year in 2009 13th, 2010 ninth, 2011 ninth, 2012 eighth, 2013 10th, 2014 sixth, 2015 eighth, 2016 eighth and we sit here at the moment, ninth.
“They haven’t had the absolute high end quality players that some of the clubs have, but they’ve been more honest than some of the clubs have been over a long period of time.
“They’re just sort of stuck in this little spot.”
The Kangaroos are currently just 2.1 percent outside of the top eight, and battle Sydney at Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
