RANDWICK
Race 5 - Arrowfield 3yo Sprint 1200m (Group 2):
FOLLOW: Catchy - 1st. Will take the next step into the Spring as a 4yo mare.
FORGIVE: Viridine - 8th. Forget he even went around. Over raced early once Hugh found his position which didn't help his causes at all, then was out ridden by a Moreira special as he saw what was unfolding in front of him at the 800m and kept him in a pocket for the entire race.
FORGET: Perast - last. Did race 3 deep outside the leaders but still hasn’t shown a lot this time in.
Race 9 - Coolmore Legacy Stks 1600m (Group 1):
FOLLOW: Alizee - 1st. We saw the real Alizee here, wow she just blew them away with her explosive turn of foot.
FORGIVE: Abbey Marie - 5th. Didn't get a lot of room in the straight and finished off well, not far off a win.
FORGET: Foxplay - 8th. Might be a victim of the Winx effect, runs well without being a threat.
CAULFIELD
Race 4 - Ladbrokes Handicap (1700 METRES):
FOLLOW: Noumea - 3rd. Clearly the best Australian performance he's put in when finding the line well here second up. Looks ready to peak if he can find the right race next start.
FORGIVE: Top Of The Range - 2nd. Only beaten by the 3kg claim and economical passage for the top weight. Don't think he was overly thrilled with the soft track either.
FORGET: Tiamo Grace - 12th. First horse beaten and on class has to be much more competitive than that at her best. Hard to trust now.
Race 7 - Walk For Phil Handicap (1200 METRES):
FOLLOW: Iconoclasm - 4th. A month between runs with the wide gate forcing him back and cost him his chance of winning here. Big finish and he's still going in the right direction after a little setback which followed a couple of nice wins.
FORGIVE: Naantali - 7th. Just an even return from this filly but just looked in the need of the hit-out. Next start might tell us more.
FORGET: Andaz - 10th. Hasn't showed anything in a while and offered little here after lobbing in a lovely position.
MORPHETTVILLE
Race 1 - UBET Handicap (2030 METRES):
FOLLOW: Chequered Flag - 1st. Pretty soft in the end for this Weir trained galloper and it was only his third start this prep. If he keeps finding wet tracks, then he's in business.
FORGIVE: Ceylon - last. First horse beaten and has pulled up sore.
FORGET: None.
Race 7 - Port Adelaide Guineas (1800 METRES):
FOLLOW: High 'N' Dry - 3rd. I think he's got a South Australian Derby written all over him. Well back in running and his late sectionals were excellent. He was forced back from a wide alley and looks set to peak at the right time.
FORGIVE: Greycliffe - 2nd. Tough effort on speed after opening up a big margin and he's nearly pinched it. Fought on well and that was only his second run this time in.
FORGET: None.
